Work With Aussie Bridge Care

Aussie Bridge Care is a registered NDIS provider with more than 20 years of community support experience across South East Queensland. We are a team of support workers, registered nurses, behaviour support practitioners and care coordinators, and we are always interested in hearing from people who want to do this work properly. Full-time and part-time roles are available.

The Roles We Recruit For

  • Support workers — delivering daily living support, community participation and Supported Independent Living shifts, including sleepover and active overnight rosters in our SIL homes. Every support worker holds a current NDIS worker screening check, First Aid certification, and is trained against the NDIS Practice Standards.
  • Registered nurses — providing community nursing in participants’ homes: wound care, catheter and continence care, medication support, diabetes management and high intensity supports. All our nurses are AHPRA registered.
  • Behaviour support practitioners — developing and implementing positive behaviour support plans, accredited through the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
  • Care coordinators — the named contact for every participant, handling matching, rostering and family communication.

We value cultural and language matches for our participants. Our current team speaks Mandarin, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hindi and Punjabi among other languages, and Logan and Ipswich in particular have highly multicultural communities.

Where You Would Work

Our office is at Level 27, Santos Place, 32 Turbot Street, Brisbane, but most of the work happens in participants’ homes and communities. We roster support workers close to where they live, across Logan, Ipswich, Moreton Bay, Redland, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. Shorter travel means better local knowledge and more reliable shifts.

What It Is Like Here

The average NDIS support worker changes providers every 11 months. Ours don’t: most of our frontline team have been with us for three years or more. We run a formal two-week induction with shadowing of experienced workers, monthly supervision, and monthly disability-specific training sessions, and we pay above Award for experienced workers. Participants tell us the consistency of their workers is what they value most about our service, and that consistency starts with looking after the team.

We also expect a lot. Support work involves physical demands, emotional complexity, documentation and changing rosters. As a registered provider we are independently audited against the NDIS Practice Standards, and we expect every team member to work to that standard.
